Thomas Calvin Wilson, son of Claude Wilson and Madge Winkler, was born February 18, 1946, and departed this life on August 26, 2026.

Calvin met the love of his life, Janice Smith, in 1973, and the two were married on June 3, 1983. Together, they built a life filled with family, hard work, music, and many treasured memories.

Calvin was outgoing and had a personality all his own. He could be a little grumpy at times, but he also had a silly side that those closest to him knew well. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, especially growing hot peppers and tomatoes, and playing his guitar and singing at family gatherings and churches.

A hardworking man, Calvin spent his life doing whatever he could to provide for his family. Over the years, he worked as a laborer and mechanic, cleaned properties, picked apples, cut grapes, picked cotton and green beans, and even spent some time as a moonshine runner. No matter the job, his family was always the reason behind his hard work.

Family meant everything to Calvin. He helped raise his children and a grandchild whom he cherished dearly. At Christmas, he always made sure there were presents beneath the tree just to see the smiles on their faces. When the grandchildren came around, Papa could always be counted on to have candy, cookies, cakes, and fruit waiting for them.

Calvin had a lifelong love for Johnny Cash, whom he considered a role model. His favorite color was black, and even his everyday clothing often resembled the famous "Man in Black." Music was one of Calvin's greatest gifts to his family. He would sometimes use songs to send messages to his children and loved sitting around playing guitar, singing, and sharing his love of music with those around him. Those songs and memories will forever remain a special part of his family.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters, Alfie Rossetto, Rosie O'Neal, Jeanie Buckner, Dorothy Barnes, Georgie O'Neal, and Lilian Workman; one brother, Harvey Wilson; son-in-law, Maxie "Tiger" Price; granddaughter, Jessica Price; great-grandson, Brandon Price; and many nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Wilson, of the home; daughters Jessie Price and companion Clayton Ketcher of Stilwell, Oklahoma; Margaret Ann Wilson and companion Troy Hale of Lincoln, Arkansas; and June Wilson of Stilwell, Oklahoma; sons Jess Johnson and Thomas Wilson, both of Stilwell, Oklahoma; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Calvin leaves behind the songs he sang, the love he gave, and a lifetime of memories that his family will carry with them always.
