Reba Wilson, daughter of Sylvester Scott Brown and Zella Mae (Dooley) Brown, was born in Stilwell, Oklahoma, on 10/28/1941. She passed peacefully from this life on October 21, 2026, in Stilwell, Oklahoma, leaving behind a lifetime of treasured memories and a legacy of love that will continue through the generations of her family.
Reba shared 48 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, Darrell Wilson. Together, they built a life centered around love, faith, and family. Reba was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished Nana and GG. Her family was truly her greatest blessing, and nothing brought her more happiness than being surrounded by those she loved. She played a special role in raising the generations that followed her, lovingly babysitting all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The memories made in her care and the unconditional love she so freely gave will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
For 26 and a half years, Reba faithfully served as a school cook at Stilwell Middle School. Through her years of dedication, she became a familiar and caring presence to countless students and staff members. Her hardworking spirit and commitment to serving others were qualities that carried throughout every part of her life.
Reba found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, working puzzles and word puzzles, and spending time browsing yard sales in search of little treasures. She had a special love for tending to her flowers, especially her beautiful roses. Whether she was working in her flower beds, enjoying a trip, or spending a quiet afternoon at home, Reba appreciated the beauty in everyday moments.
Growing up as one of twelve children, Reba knew the importance of family bonds from an early age. Some of her fondest memories were made gathered around the kitchen table with her brothers and sisters, singing together while others played the guitar. Those simple gatherings were filled with music, laughter, and love, creating memories that would be cherished for a lifetime. The closeness of her family and the joy of those moments remained an important part of who she was.
Above all, Reba's heart was rooted in her love for her family and her faith. Her greatest wish was to see all of her children and grandchildren attending church and baptized. More than anything this world could offer, she wanted the generations she loved so dearly to know the Lord and walk in faith. It was a reflection of the love she carried for her family, not only for their lives here on earth, but for eternity.
Reba leaves behind three sons, Bob Wilson and wife Della of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Gene Wilson and wife Debra of Stilwell, Oklahoma, and LD Wilson and Jennifer of Lincoln, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Bobby Wilson and wife Renee of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Jake Wilson of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Evan Wilson and wife Lilly of Lincoln, Arkansas, Lucas Wilson of Lincoln, Arkansas, and Desiree Grumbles and husband William of Mannford, Oklahoma; and fourteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought tremendous joy and happiness to her life. She also leaves behind many other loved ones and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Darrell Wilson; her parents, Sylvester Scott and Zella Mae (Dooley) Brown; and her eleven siblings.
Reba's life was a beautiful example of devotion, kindness, and unconditional love. She leaves behind more than memories; she leaves a legacy woven into the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Though her place at the family table may now be empty, the love she shared, the songs she sang, and the lessons she taught will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to call her Mom, Nana, and GG.
