Jimmie Lee
Smith
Jan 20, 1954 — Oct 17, 2026
Sallisaw
Jimmie Jee Smith, son of Johnny Jason Price Smith and Juanita (Kimble) Smith, was born on January 20, 1954, in Bunch, Oklahoma. A lifelong resident of the Bunch community, Jimmie passed from this life on October 17, 2026, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, at the age of 72.
Jimmie was a true country gentleman who enjoyed the simple things in life and never needed much to be happy. He was known for his playful personality, quick wit, and love of a good joke. A natural jokester, Jimmie had a special way of bringing laughter to those around him. Whether he was teasing someone he loved or sharing a funny story, he enjoyed making people smile and keeping everyone on their toes.
Jimmie was happiest when he was outdoors, enjoying the peacefulness of country living. He loved fishing and could often be found piddling around, always finding a little something to work on or keep himself busy. He enjoyed caring for his chickens and had a special place in his heart for his dogs, who were his faithful companions. His days were filled with the familiar comforts of the country life he knew and loved so well.
Family was an important part of Jimmie's life, and he especially treasured his role as an uncle. He shared a special bond with his many nieces and nephews, who will forever remember his humor, his unique personality, and the love he showed them in his own special way. He found joy in spending time with family, sharing laughter, and simply being in the company of those he loved.
Jimmie was a man who lived life on his own terms, finding contentment in the little things that so often mean the most. He didn't need anything fancy to enjoy a good day, just a little time outdoors, something to tinker with, his animals nearby, and the opportunity to share a laugh with someone. His easygoing country ways, unforgettable sense of humor, and the special memories he created will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jimmie leaves behind two sisters to cherish his memory: Wanda Miller of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Janice Wilson of Stilwell, Oklahoma. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, along with many other relatives and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Jason Price Smith and Juanita (Kimble) Smith, and three siblings, Mina Faye Smith, Nancy Sue Morphis, and Bobby Joe Smith.
Though Jimmie may no longer be here to share another joke, cast another fishing line, or enjoy another quiet day in the country, the laughter he brought and the memories he made will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will always be remembered for being exactly who he was: a one-of-a-kind countryman with a love for family, a playful spirit, and a way of making ordinary moments unforgettable.
