Janet Kay Kirk Navarro was born on August 13, 1956, to Felix Kirk and Nannie (Livers) Kirk. A lifelong resident of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Janet passed from this life on October 12, 2026, at the age of 70.
Janet was a woman of deep faith, a loving heart, and a gentle spirit who found great joy in serving others. She was a devoted member of Cherry Tree Baptist Church, where she faithfully shared her time and talents with her church family. She especially loved cooking for church gatherings and preparing meals that brought everyone together. Janet also taught in the church nursery, where her love for children truly shined. She was always thinking of creative activities and special ways to make the little ones smile, leaving a lasting impression on the young hearts she helped nurture.
Creativity was a beautiful part of Janet's life. She enjoyed making arts and crafts, creating intricate beadwork, and arranging flowers. She had a special way of turning simple things into something beautiful. Janet also loved singing, visiting friends, sharing stories, and enjoying the laughter and companionship of those around her. She even found entertainment in watching YouTube Shorts, always enjoying the little moments that could bring a smile to her face.
Some of Janet's most peaceful moments were spent sitting on her front porch with her Bible in hand. It was there, surrounded by the quiet comforts of home, that she enjoyed reading God's Word and strengthening the faith that guided her throughout her life. Her devotion to the Lord was reflected not only in the scriptures she read but also in the kindness, generosity, and love she extended to others.
Above all, Janet treasured the people God placed in her life. Whether she was preparing something special for the children at church, sharing a meal, or simply spending time visiting with those she loved, she gave of herself with a willing heart. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched, the love she shared, and the countless small acts of kindness that made her so special.
Janet leaves behind to cherish her memory one special aunt, Myrtle Livers; two daughters, Gena Kirk and companion Rick Ross of Stilwell, Oklahoma, and Stephanie Gann of Stilwell, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Robyn Grimmett, Jaivyn Kirk, Ariyah Kirk, Rhokiya Kirk, and Hunter Kirk; and one great-grandson, lovingly known as Baby Chooge.
She is also survived by five siblings, including three sisters, Jennie Kirk of Muldrow, Oklahoma; Betty Kirk and husband David Doublehead of Stilwell, Oklahoma; and Rhenda Kirk of Stilwell, Oklahoma; and two brothers, Gary Kirk and wife Bessie of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Bill Teehee of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Janet also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a church family who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Felix Kirk and Nannie (Livers) Kirk; her maternal grandparents, Taylor and Ella Mae (Seabolt) Livers; and one nephew, Albert Wayne Teehee.
Though Janet's earthly journey has come to an end, the love she poured into her family, her church, and her community will continue to bloom in the hearts of those who knew her. Her life was a beautiful reflection of faith, service, and the simple joy of loving others.
