Obituary

Bonnie Lou Starr, daughter of Andrew and Mollie (Beaver) Starr, was born on September 8, 1954, in Oakland, California. In the early 80's she moved to Stilwell, a place she continued to call home throughout her life. Bonnie passed from this life on September 22, 2026, at the age of 72.

Bonnie was a woman with a generous heart and a deep concern for others. She was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to someone in need, never hesitating to help when she could. Her compassion extended to animals as well. Bonnie had a special place in her heart for animals, especially those without a home, and was known to take in strays and give them the love and care they needed.

Her faith was an important part of Bonnie’s life. She was a member of Freedom Christian Center and faithfully spent time reading her Bible each day. Her devotion to her faith was reflected in the kindness and compassion she showed to those around her.

Bonnie found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to music, watching Judge Judy, and settling in for a good Lifetime movie. She also treasured the companionship of her beloved cat, Mrs. Kitty, who held a very special place in Bonnie’s heart and brought her much comfort and joy.

Bonnie leaves behind her daughter, Vanessa Solis of Springfield, Missouri; her son, Andrew Solis of Briggs, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Deonandre Solis, Rosa Maria Manzanares, Marlene Manzanares, Luis Manzanares, Wesley Johnson, and Iris Killsnight; three sisters, Jane Starr, Betty Chartier, and Nan Schultz; and her beloved feline companion, Mrs. Kitty. She also leaves behind many other relatives, friends, and loved ones who will forever remember her giving heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mollie (Beaver) Starr; her daughter, Rachel Solis; her grandchild, Rosalinda Manzanares; and her sister, Jennie Starr.

Bonnie will be remembered for her generous spirit, her love for people and animals, and the faith that guided her throughout her life. She gave freely of what she had and opened her heart and home to those who needed her. The kindness she showed during her lifetime will remain a treasured memory for all who knew and loved her.
